Aerobic systems

Aerobic units add air and treat water before spraying or drip-dispersing it. They are common where soil is poor (DEQ aerobic systems fact sheet).

The first 2 years

The installer must maintain a new aerobic system for 2 years at no extra cost, including periodic checks (DEQ rules, OAC 252:641).

After that

• Keep chlorine tablets in spray systems and keep the alarm working (OSU Extension PSS-2275).
• Published Tulsa aerobic pumping: $625 within 25 miles (ClearFlow Septic published prices).
